I never thought I'd be so happy to be back in this drafty castle.

One Ravenclaw is a gay callboy and another wears adult diapers? Well, I can't say I'm at all surprised.

Well, that trip was interesting enough. Slightly boring for my taste, but the game was at least thrilling. I still can't get over the fact that I was chosen to go on the pitch to throw up the quaffle but really, I'm not all that surprised. After all, why wouldn't they have picked me? Before I left, I got the opportunity to speak to several of the players on the English team, though several of them took the time to hit on me. When I'm talking about Quidditch, the last thing I'm thinking about is some sweaty, toothless bloke hovering beside me and breating down my back. Honestly, what is with men? Just because women talk to you, that doesn't mean we want to shag you.

Anyway, I can't believe it's already August. This summer is going by far too quickly for my taste, but I am rather excited to head back and be a 7th year as I'm sure it'll be the best of them all. And the House Cup will obviously be ours.

Well, this summer is off to a rather nice start, surprisingly. My family and I just returned home from a week long trip to Italy. We stayed in a lovely hotel on the Italian Riviera in this village called Portofino. Absolutely breathtaking, though I must say, it got rather boring far too quickly. We were able to stop over in Milan for two days though, so that was definitely a plus. Nothing like stocking up on the Spella McCartney shoes, particularly this gorgeous pair of black satin pumps that look absolutely ravishing with the slinky red dress I picked up. Too bad it wasn't that Muggle Fashion Week thing. I honestly couldn't care less about those disgusting heroin chic models, but some of the clothes they wear are absolutely to die for.

Despite somewhat enjoying the trip, it's really set me back on my Quidditch schedule. I missed an entire week of my whole practice schedule meaning the next few weeks are going to be positively grueling. It's absolutely necessary though. After all, there was a reason we Gryffindors won the cup this year and it's obviously going to happen again next year. Not only are we the most skilled, but it's my last year and we must win. So with that in mind, I sincerely hope that all of my fellow teammates are actually practicing this summer rather than just sitting on their lazy arses and fattening up.
